The hosts of this blog toss a coin each week to decide which of us will argue for a randomly selected issue, and which will argue against. How fun is that?
Everything should work as designed, now. We never realized that you could click on the title of a post to get a full view of comments, but you can. Rather than read the post (as you are now doing) on the main page, simply click its title and the post will reappear on a new page, complete with all available comments. Thanks for your patience while we learn what the heck we're doing!
Should the U.S. Senate Refuse to Seat Embattled Governor Rod Blagojevich's Choice of Former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris as Obama's Replacement?

Possible Future Topics (Ideas Welcome)

Commenters to this site must adhere to the following rules:
All comments must be relevant to the post to which they are directed. No comments unrelated to the post will be permitted.
In no case can commenters use vulgar words, cursing, or name-calling in a comment (for instance, Barack "Osama" Obama is not permitted, nor John "McBush" McCain). These are disrespectful monikers that we will not permit on this blog. Effective arguments don't rely on emotional outbursts. Likewise, curse words, even if spelled to avoid filters or misspelled to get by, will not be tolerated. This site is designed for people who care to learn how to debate without such inappropriate devices.
Cutting and pasting of blog comments from other sites is not permitted unless the comments and the sites from which they are derived adhere to Butt and ReButt site rules. Any cut-and-pasted comments should be properly cited (a link or blog address properly provided), and the kind of quote (e.g., from a blogger) should be acknowledged in the comment. Please keep in mind that quotes from sites or blogs that are themselves unsupported by evidence, or not acknowledged to be merely opinion, are not appropriate.
Commenters who insist on shouting (using all caps in a post) are not welcome here. If you post a comment using all caps, you will be admonished not to do so in the future. If you do it a second time, we will remove your comment. There are no excuses for violating this rule. If you feel strongly about an issue, support your opinion with STRONG EVIDENCE, not bold commenting. You don't sound more important when your comment is in all CAPS, just more desperate.
FINAL, AND REALLY IMPORTANT RULE: Those of you that know Reed and Dano personally are asked not to reveal anything about what you know of our political/social views in your comments. It would destroy the experiment for you to do so. Any comments toward this end will immediately be removed, and your email/login name will be barred from further commenting on this blog. We are trying to administrate a site here that relies upon NEUTRALITY in reporting viewpoints. Please respect this endeavor.
